GM Exec Joins Bio-Reaction Industries' Board of Directors

August 28, 2008, Portland, OR - Bio-Reaction Industries is pleased to announce the addition of long time General Motors (GM) executive David Skiven as the newest member on their Board of Directors.

With the energy and environmentally responsible innovations that Mr. Skiven oversaw during his 15 years as Executive Director of the Worldwide Facilities Group at GM, it's logical that he would join the board of an energy and environmentally innovative company. Bio-Reaction Industries, an Oregon-based air pollution control company is changing the way businesses address their industrial pollution with an environmentally friendly solution that uses microbes to digest industrial pollutants and odors.

"As businesses look to save money on energy costs, alternative technologies are gaining momentum. Offering a cost effective alternative to thermal oxidation, Bio-Reaction Industries helps companies across the US and around the world", noted Skiven who had global responsibility at GM for environmental and energy performance.

After serving 42 years in various capacities with General Motors Corporation, Mr. Skiven understands the needs of the automotive OEM, Tier I and Tier II suppliers. "I believe that applying bio-oxidation equipment in this industry is a great way for companies to continue their long term commitment along the path to zero waste."

"Global competition, skyrocketing energy costs and environmental regulations are driving change in many industries. With the addition of Mr. Skiven to our board, he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of the issues that face the automotive industry which are similar to those in the wood products, chemical processing and other industries that rely on air pollution abatement equipment," adds Karl Mundorff, President and CEO of BioReaction Industries.
